Three-member committee on agricultural laws submitted a report to the Supreme Court

New Delhi: A three-member committee appointed by the Supreme Court on three agricultural laws submitted its report in a closed envelope to the Supreme Court. The committee has said in its report that about 85 farmer organizations have been talked to resolve the matter.

The committee appointed by the Supreme Court includes Anil Dhanwat, renowned economists Ashok Gulati and Pramod Joshi. According to media reports, in this report, the committee has prepared its report after talking to farmers’ organizations and agricultural experts and in this report, the agricultural laws passed by the Parliament have been reviewed.

Farmers’ organizations across the country like Haryana, Punjab are protesting against all three agricultural laws brought by the Center. The Center is talking about amendments to these laws while farmers are adamant on the demand to repeal it. Farmers across the country have been demonstrating against this in other states like Delhi for 4 months.

At the same time, now farmer leaders are going from state to state campaigning against the Center and the Narendra Modi government. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait is presently appealing to the people against the BJP through the platform in many places between the West Bengal elections not to vote for those who want to hurt the farmers.
