New Delhi: Farmers have been fighting for nearly 40 days against the new agricultural laws on Delhi’s borders. The Congress is constantly demanding the Central Government to repeal these laws. Meanwhile, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has fiercely attacked the central government in support of the farmers. She said that more than 50 farmers have lost their lives due to the government’s indifference to the movement. Some even took a step like suicide.
Sonia Gandhi said that after independence, this first such egoistic government in the history of the country has come to power, which is not visible even to the common people, the pain and struggle of the food providers who feed the country. It seems that the handful of industrialists and ensuring their profits has become the main agenda of this government.
“My heart is very sad, including the countrymen, seeing the condition of the farmers who have been struggling for 39 days in support of their demands on the Delhi border in shivering cold and rainy, but till today a word of consolation came out of the Prime Minister’s mouth.”
The Congress president said that there is still time that the Modi government should immediately withdraw the three black laws unconditionally, leaving the ego of power, to end the agitation of the farmers who are dying in cold and rain.
