Ten yr of govt service mandatory for post-graduate medical students in Uttar Pradesh; levies Rs 1 crore fine

Lucknow: After doing PG in Uttar Pradesh, doctors will have to serve in government hospital for at least 10 years. If you leave the job in between then you will have to pay a fine of one crore rupees. If a doctor leaves the PG course in between then he will be debarred for three years. In these three years, he will not be able to re-enroll.

In order to meet the shortage of doctors in government hospitals, the government has also made arrangements for exemption in NEET. MBBS doctors are given a relaxation of 10 marks in NEET entrance examination after working for one year in a government hospital in rural area. At the same time, doctors serving two years get a discount of 20 points and 30 years for three years.

The decision of the Yogi government states that after completing studies, the medical officer must join the job immediately. Government doctors have also been banned from staying in Senior Residency after PG. The new rule states that NOC will not be issued in this regard on behalf of the department.

With this, it has been said that now doctors can take admission in diploma courses along with PG. Let me tell you that every year many doctors of government hospitals take NEET exam for admission in MBBS PG.
