There were no wedding rituals at the officiating ceremony; the couple brought together the Bengali and Punjabi traditions. Pictures from the haldi ceremony showed Bengali ‘topor’ or headgear, part of the bride and groom’s attire in Bengali Hindu weddings. The sangeet function included Kathak performances. Also, Abhay and Supriyo were pronounced ‘husband and husband,’ and Abhay sang the song ‘Aaye ho meri zindagi mein tum bahar banke’ to Supriyo. The pictures of their wedding are shared widely on social media.
