Patna: Seat sharing has been announced in the grand alliance for the Bihar assembly elections. This was informed at a press conference held at Maurya Hotel in Patna on Saturday. The Rashtriya Janata Dal will contest 144 out of 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly, the Congress 70 and the Left 29 seats.
Abinash Pandey, chairman of the Congress screening committee, said the people of Bihar had given a huge majority to the grand alliance during the 2015 elections. But soon after, Nitish Kumar left the people’s elected government and joined hands with someone else. The people of Bihar will not forgive them this time. At the same time, he lashed out at the central government over agricultural laws and called them Tughlaq.
Abinash Pandey praised Tejaswi Yadav. He said that in the 2015 elections, the youth of Bihar saw Tejaswi Yadav as the Deputy CM. They did a great job. Bihar is one of the youngest states in the country. In such a situation, a young leadership is needed for the people here.
Rashtriya Janata Dal leaders Tejaswi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, Jagdananda Singh and Manoj Kumar Jha were present on the occasion. Several leaders including Abinash Pandey from Congress, Dipankar Bhattacharya from CPI ML and Mukesh Sahni of Bikash Insan Party were present.
