Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh State Sunni Central Waqf Board President Zufar Ahmad Farooqui announced on Wednesday the formation of a Trust for construction of a mosque on a five-acre land in Ayodhya.

Farooqui said that he himself will be the chief trustee and chairman of this trust. In addition, the trust will have Adnan Farrukh Shah as vice-president, Athar Hussain as secretary and Faiz Aftab treasurer, while Mohammad Junaid Siddiqui, Sheikh Saudouzman, Mohammad Rashid and Imran Ahmed will be members.

The Secretary has also been made the official spokesman of the Trust. The Supreme Court on November 9 last year gave a historic verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, ordering the construction of a Ram temple at the disputed site and giving Muslims five acres of land at a prominent place in Ayodhya for the construction of the mosque. Had given.

In compliance with this, the Sunni Waqf Board was given five acres of land in February at Dhannipur village in Sohawal tehsil of Ayodhya district. The Sunni Waqf Board was the main Muslim party in the trial. The Waqf Board had announced to build the mosque as well as the Indo-Islamic Research Center, hospital and library on that land. This trust was to be formed to take a decision on how all this would be built.
