New Delhi: Strong tremors were felt in several parts of northern India including the capital city of New Delhi and as far as Srinagar on Friday. Because of which people came out of their homes and came on the streets. According to the National Center for Seismology, there was an earthquake at 10.31 pm, measuring 6.3. At the same time, its center was Tajikistan.
The impact of earthquake was felt in Haryana, Punjab, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan. People panicked and came out of the houses. However, so far there has been no news of loss of any kind of life or property.
According to the NCS, the earthquake in Amritsar, Punjab, was measured at 6.1. Due to which there are reports of damage to many houses.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 21 kilometers east-southeast (ESE) of Amritsar. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers from the surface at 10:34 PM Indian time. Earthquakes were felt in Delhi-NCR and its adjoining areas for a few seconds. Feeling earthquake tremors, some people came out of their homes and shops. It goes on to say that at the end of last month too, tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR.
The GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck the Tajikistan-Xinjiang border region late on Friday.
