Now Ball Is In Akhilesh’s Court, Says His Uncle
The president of the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Shivpal Singh Yadav has set a deadline of October 11 for his nephew and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to strike an electoral accord with his party. Shivpal made it clear that if no postive response comes by October 11 then his party will candidated on all seats in the state.

This clarion call by Shivpal Yadav came while talking to scribes at his home town Etawah on Thursday. He said that SP was founded and nurtured by Mulayam Singh Yadav and being a true socialist he tried his level best to ensure poll alliance with Akhilesh so that socialist block remains united. “Now the ball is in court of Akhilesh and we will not wait for his response beyond October 11″” said PSP chief.
He said that his party will launch “samajik parivartan yatra” from Mathura on October 12 to mark the birth anniversary of socialist ideologue Dr Ram Manohar Lohia.
The new dead line set up by Shivpal Yadav is viewed as a pressure tactics on former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav who had shown mo intrest for political alliance with his uncle’s party so for. The SP chief repeatedly said that SP will not field candidate against Shivpal Yadav in Jaswant Nagar from where he is still SP MLA despite heading his own party PSP.

It may be recalled that only recently Shivpal Singh Yadav had a long deliberations with AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Though both termed it as a courtsey meeting yet insiders claim that Shivpal Singh Yadav apprehending lukewarm response from Akhilesh Yadav regarding alliance was keeping his other options open.
