New Delhi: Shiv Sena, once an important member of the National Democratic Alliance, has announced its support to Mamata Banerjee in the West Bengal elections, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut informed that the party will not field any candidate in the assembly elections in West Bengal.
At one time, Shiv Sena and BJP used to contest elections in Maharashtra by forming an alliance, but now the situation has changed and Shiv Sena has severed ties with NDA. In Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena has formed a government with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party, in such a way, naturally, it has become ‘its new partner’, apart from the BJP.
Sanjay Raut wrote in his tweet, ‘Many people are keen to know whether Shiv Sena will contest elections in West Bengal?’ Therefore, after discussing with party chief Uddhav Thackeray, I am sharing this update with you. Looking at the current scenario, it seems that it is ‘Didi vs All’ fight. All M’s means money, muscle and media is being used against Mamata didi. In such a situation, Shiv Sena has decided not to contest in the West Bengal elections and has decided to stand with him (Mamata Banerjee). Raut wrote, ‘We want Mamta didi’s success because we believe she is the real Bengal Tigress’
