If the Centre fails to act on the RSS-affiliated Bharatiya Kisan Sangh’s demands on agricultural legislation and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) by the end of the month, in that case, a national agitation will begin on September 8. It stated that the Minimum Support Price should be determined based on cost and that new legislation should be drafted to address the conflict resulting from the new agricultural regulations, considering the concerns voiced by farmers.

“A national demonstration against the agricultural legislation will take place, in the expectation that the Center would respond to the demonstrators’ demands. The administration of Narendra Modi has been given till August 31 to respond to the demands. If it does not respond positively to our requests, a decision on further actions would be made after the dharna on September 8 “Yugal Kishore Mishra, BKS treasurer, stated.

When asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vow to quadruple farmers’ income, he said the government should first figure exactly how much they spend. Mr. Mishra responded, “Absolutely,” when asked if the Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi governments disregarded farmers. He stated, ” Neither the administration of Atal nor the government of Modi considered cost-based pay pricing.”
