New Delhi: In Jammu and Kashmir, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has announced an economic package of Rs 1,350 crore for the Union Territory on Saturday. LG Manoj Sinha said that this relief package is for people in business who are facing financial difficulties. He said that this is in addition to other measures taken to provide relief to the self-sufficient package and to the businesses. This will boost business in the newly created Union Territory and many affected sectors that have been suffering for many years.
LG Manoj Sinha said that he has decided to give 5% interst subvention to every borrower from the business world. There are no conditions laid down in the current financial year. He said that this will provide a big relief in the Union Territory and will help in creating jobs.
LG Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir also said that 50 percent discount will be given for one year in electricity and water bills. The stamp duty has also been waived by March 2021 for all borrowers. He also informed that a customized health tourism scheme is being set up by J&K Bank to provide financial assistance to people in the tourism sector with good pricing and repayment options.
