Reciting ‘Ramcharitmanas’ will work as a medicine against COVID-19: Rajnath Singh

New Delhi: On the occasion of Ramnavami, an event held in Lucknow, Rajnath Singh said that reciting Ramcharit Manas increases positive thoughts in people. He said, “It works like a medicine. Adhering to religion and spirituality will act like a medicine against Corona. “

Addressing an event organized on the occasion of Rama Navami in Lucknow, one of the worst affected cities in Uttar Pradesh, Singh said that the recitation of ‘Ramcharitmanas’ will ‘increase positivity’.

“It works as a medicine (against the deadly virus),” Singh said in his virtual address, adding, “Stress on religion and spirituality will work as a medicine in the fight against Coronavirus”.

While echoing to Rajnath Singh, folk singer Malini Awasthi, whose husband is the additional chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh, said, “Reciting ‘Ramcharitmanas’ will help in combating negative news and deviate our attention from COVID”.

While reacting to Rajnath Singh’s statement, Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishna said that Rajnath Singh has the responsibility to protect the country, and he is not able to protect even his constituency. He said, “If there is any morality left in Rajnath Singh, he should resign immediately and join him in the sufferings of the people in Lucknow.” Krishnan said, “Whenever there is a crisis on the country, it is the BJP’s habit to remember Ram or God.
