Rahul Gandhi Hits Out at Modi

To counter the BJP’s consolidation of the majority vote bank, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking a solo dip in the Ganga when launching the Kashi Vishwanath corridor today. During a rally in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, he claimed, “A ‘Hindutvavadi’ bathes alone in the Ganga, but a Hindu bathes with crores of people.” He compared the two sides as love vs. hatred, and non-violence vs. violence, in an attempt to present his party as one of “truthful” Hindus opposed to PM Modi’s “lying” Hindutva. He said that Mahatma Gandhi represented Hindus, while Gandhi’s killer, Nathuram Godse, represented Hindutva.

In the midst of applause, he slammed PM Modi, saying that while he claims to be Hindu, he has not protected the truth. He questioned the crowd if the prime minister’s campaign promise of generating two crore jobs for the country’s youth was genuine or false, linking it to Hindu and Hindutva once more. He went on to explain that the prime minister had urged people to destroy kitchenware in order to rid themselves of Covid. “Hindu or Hindutva?” he queried the cheering throng. ” A Hindu never gives in to his fears; instead, he faces them head on. He doesn’t let fear turn into fury or hatred. A Hindutvawadi, on the other hand, relies only on lies to maintain power. According to Mahatma Gandhi ji, a Hindu’s path is one of satyagraha “he explained.

Gandhi launched an assault on the BJP over inflation and unemployment, saying, “Some of the PM’s actions disproportionately impacted the middle and lower classes, resulting in widespread unemployment. The biggest causes of unemployment in India are demonetization, an incorrectly involved GST, and a lack of assistance during the Covid crisis.” He also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ‘deafening silence’ on the issue of unemployment. “You are aware of the current scenario. The greatest questions that neither the CM nor the PM will answer are unemployment and inflation. PM took a swim in the Ganga a few days ago but refused to discuss unemployment. I’ll explain why young people are unable to find work.” Gandhi went on to say.

“Today, in India, 1 percent of the population has 33 percent of the money, 10% of the population holds 65 percent of the wealth, and the impoverished 50% of the population only holds 6% of the wealth,” the Congress leader stated, referring to the Modi government’s economic imbalance. As part of the party’s ongoing statewide campaign, ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan,’ Rahul Gandhi and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took part in the “BJP Bhagao, Mehangai Hatao” ‘padyatra’ in Amethi. On November 14, the Congress party began a nationwide protest campaign called “Jan Jagran Abhiyan” to draw attention to growing prices and to attack the BJP-led administration at the federal level. In Amethi, Rahul Gandhi’s old Lok Sabha constituency, the Congress marched led by him. His sister and the party’s UP in charge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, was at his side.
