Pushkar Singh Dhami takes oath as the new CM of Uttarakhand

New Delhi: The newly elected Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken the oath of office and secrecy today. He has become the 11th Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand ministers Satpal Maharaj, Harak Singh Rawat and other BJP leaders attended the swearing-in ceremony in Dehradun.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, 45, a two-time MLA from Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district, will be the youngest ever Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He will replace Rawat, who resigned from the post late Friday citing constitutional crisis in the state after his tenure of less than four months.

Earlier, Dhami met former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat at his residence in Bhagirathipuram. He also met former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residence in Defense Colony.
