Jolt To Party As UPCC Vice President Joins Samajwadi Party

AICC general secretary and Uttar Pradesh incharge Priyanka Vadra will address a public meeting in the PM Narendra Modi’s constituency Varanasi on October 10.
While Priyanka Vadra was holding meetings with party leaders to take stock of organisational matter along with preparations for upcoming assenbly election the party suffered yet another jolt as state vice president of the Congress and former MLA Gayadeen Anuragi walked over to the Samajwadi Party.

Besides Anuragi a dalit and former MLA from Rath in Hamirpur district, another former Congress MLA from Urai district Vinod Chaturvedi also joined the SP.
According to official communique from UPCC the public meeting of Priyanka Vadra will be held at Jagatpur Inter College at Varanasi.

According to sources the selection of Varanasi to start the series of public meetings of Priyanka Vadra is aimed on twin aims. First and foremost is that Varanasi is PM’s constituency and thus more suitable for poliitical messaging.
The second reason is to boost the morale of party workers after the desertion of Congress by former MLA and state vice president Laliteshpati Tripathi who is great grand son of Kamlapti Tripathi former UP CM and former working president of AICC.
