Priyanka Gandhi Vadra takes a dip at the holy Sangam

Prayagraj: Congress general secretary, incharge of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the holy city of Prayagraj on Friday and took a dip at the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mystical Saraswati.

Dressed in a maroon salwar-suit, the Congress leader interacted with workers on arrival and the drove to Sangam where she took a boat ride. She then took the dip on the occasion of Mauni Amawasya, a holy day for Hindus. Millions of devotees took teh dip at various rivers across the state.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, National General Secretary of the Congress and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Organization, reached Prayagraj at 10:00 am on Thursday, she first went to Anand Bhavan and met the orphaned children. She has also paid obeisance at the place where Anand Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s ashes were kept before immersion in the Sangam.

After 1:00 in the afternoon she reached the Ganges ghat for the Sangam bath. She was accompanied by Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona and other Congressmen. Priyanka Gandhi has resorted to a boat to go to the Sangam beach for the Ganges bath. She has also met and spoken to citizens living on the Ganges River in Prayagraj. Priyanka has also taken a dip in the Ganges, reaching like a normal devotee among the people who are taking bath on the Sangam coast. She also worshiped Lord Surya Dev after bathing the Ganges.
