The five-kilometer ‘maun parikrama’ of the Kamadgiri Temple by a barefoot Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra appeared to be a well-planned strategy, as the Temple was revered as the holy embodiment of Lord Rama.
The Congresswoman began her address with two’slokas,’ or Sanskrit lines, which were repeated specifically during the ‘Navratri’ festival to honour goddess Durga and had the crowd cry ‘Jai Mata Di.’

Priyanka had also paid homage at the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Temple and offered adoration at the ‘Kushmanda Temple’ during her vacation to Varanasi. According to political observers, Priyanka has chosen to ramp up her temple runs in order to defeat the BJP in the forthcoming elections.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress national secretary, asked women why they should vote for a government that is doing nothing for them in the next Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Gandhi made the comment during a meeting with ladies in the Chitrakoot area of Bundelkhand.
