New Delhi: Maulana Arshad Madni, the head of the country’s leading Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, called on the Muslim community on Monday to observe Iftar and pray at their home following lockdown and social distance in the holy month of Ramadan in the wake of the Corona crisis.
Maulana Madani also said in a statement that social distance should be taken care of during the Namaz and Iftar at home too. He said, “Pray for the healthy nation in this holy days of Ramadan, following all the health instructions to prevent the corona epidemic.”
Maulana Madani appealed that on the occasion of Ramadan, the Taraveeh (special prayers) should be offer at homes and only four people (Imam, Mu’zjin, Khadim), including the Imam in the mosques, offer the prayers of the five times by making a distance. Earlier, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind General Secretary Mahmood Madani also appealed to the Muslim community to strictly follow the lockdown in Ramadan.
The country’s leading Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind had said that there should be no attempt to religiously colour of the Corona virus epidemic in the Tabligi Jamaat case as doing so would weaken the fight against the epidemic. Jamiat chief Maulana Arshad Madni also said that there should be an inquiry into the incident related to the Tablighi Jamaat and action should be taken if anyone has violated the lockdown anywhere in the country.
