New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held a video conference with Chief Ministers of 10 states to review the Coronavirus situation.
This is the eight round of consultation with the chief ministers, the last being on June 17.
Today, the Prime Minister is discussing the Coronavirus situation with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
PM Narendra Modi said that those coming in contact with Corona positive person should be tested in 72 hours. The PM said that we will have to work together to increase the death rate to less than 1 percent by continuously increasing the testing.
Talking to the CM of the ten states where corona infections are spreading rapidly, PM said that ten states will have to work together with the center to defeat corona. We hope that we will be able to beat the corona infection.
Simultaneously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the efforts we made with the Delhi government under the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah to curb the corona infection in Delhi have been largely successful. In such a situation, like in other states, work will have to be done to defeat the corona infection.
