New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has appointed election strategist Prashant Kishore as his chief advisor. Capt Amarinder gave this information by tweeting. He wrote on Monday, “It is heartening to say that Prashant Kishore has joined me as the Chief Advisor. I am looking forward to working together for the betterment of the people of Punjab. ”Currently, Prashant Kishore is working on creating an election strategy for the Bengal Legislative Assembly for TMC.
In the last assembly election i.e. about four years ago, in the elections held in Punjab, Kishore had helped in winning the Congress elections. Now he is back in the state politics again. Actually, Vidhan Sabha is going to be held in Punjab next year. Regarding which, the decision of Captain Amarinder is considered important.
In the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, the Congress won 77 out of 117 seats. In comparison to the previous assembly 2012, the Congress party increased its seats by 46 seats and managed to win the seat. Prashant Kishore and his company IPAC were instrumental in bringing this victory to the Congress.
