Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government banned pan masala on Wednesday. It has been banned in view of preventing the spread of corona virus infection. Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Information) Avnish Kumar Awasthi told reporters here, “Yesterday, the Chief Minister had ordered that pan masala be banned.”
He said that during the lockdown period of twenty-one days, pan masala will be banned. At the same time, the order issued by the Office Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttar Pradesh, said that the infection of Kovid-19 global epidemic spreads from one person to another.
To prevent this, the entire state has been declared closed since March 25. It is banned with immediate effect until advance orders, keeping in mind the possibility of spreading the infection of the Kovid-19 pandemic even after eating the pan masala due to spitting or the pouch of the pan masala being small.
On Tuesday, four more cases of corona virus were reported in Uttar Pradesh. Thus far the number of such cases has increased to 37. In a statement issued by the state government, it said that four fresh cases of Corona positive were reported on Tuesday.
