New Delhi: 22 people have died after an oxygen tanker leaked outside a hospital in Nashik, Maharashtra. The incident caused the supply of the oxygen supply to be halted for half an hour. According to the information, the incident occurred near the Zakir Hussain Hospital in the city. About 31 patients out of 80, who needed oxygen, were shifted to another hospital. The Maharashtra Health Minister said, ‘Leakage in the tanker’s valve caused a large oxygen leak in Nashik. More information about this is yet to be found. ‘

The gas spread throughout the area due to which a situation of panic was created. Five fire tracks were sent to the spot to prevent leakage. The work of controlling leakage is still in progress. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Menon has tweeted that action should be taken against those responsible for the leak of oxygen. He wrote in the tweet, ‘Due to leakage of oxygen from the tanker in Nashik, there was loss of many liters of oxygen and a panic situation was created in the hospital. Whoever is responsible for this negligence should be identified and punished.
