NewDelhi: Congress and whole opposition has gone all out against BJP and Union Government remark that ‘no one in the country died due to oxygen shortage during the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic’.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay along with other opposition parties said the one needs to check whether the people whose near & dear ones died due to lack of oxygen supply believe in the Centre’s reply over the Covid issue.
The Shiv Sena’s chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut’s comments came a day after Union government said in the Rajya Sabha replying a question that no deaths due to lack of oxygen were reported by states and UTs during the second COVID-19 wave peak.
Meanwhile, yesterday Rahul Gandhi criticised Modi govt for its failed policies on which is weighing on Indian economy and society as well.
Rahul Gandhi also tweeted that ‘there was not only the shortage of oxygen but Modi govt also lacked on truth and sensitivity ’ during Covid pandemic second wave in the country.
Opposition is targeting Central govt on the issue of Pegasus spying snoop gate too in the parliament. As per the media report Pegasus (Israeli spyware) is used to spy on various journalists and political leaders of the country. Some reports even suggested that Govt has manipulated JDU leaders after spying on their mobiles in Bihar to unsettle JDU-RJD combine.
The Central government on Tuesday told in the Rajya Sabha that due to unprecedented surge in demand for medical oxygen reached to around 9,000 MT compared to 3,095 MT in the second wave in comparison of first wave, following which Centre had to step in to make enough supply to the states. However, Centre is in its yesterday’s presentation to MP’s on Covid management of India have assured all required medicines and oxygen before the imminent third wave.
