Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for leaking the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) question paper and accused the state administration of messing with the youth’s future. He poked fun at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying that his government’s incompetence had harmed the futures of approximately 20 lakh young people.
The Lok Sabha member further questioned how the question paper could have been leaked since the Yogi Adityanath administration promises to be harsh on criminals. The state administration had been assailed earlier in the day by the Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Bahujan Samaj Party over the leak of the UPTET question paper. “The cancellation of the UPTET test owing to a question paper leak is tantamount to gambling with the futures of over 20 lakh applicants. After one month, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will hold the exam again, with the government covering the whole cost of the re-examination. Following the paper leak, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the examination would be cancelled and the entire racket would be arrested.

On the basis of their admission cards, he added, instructions were granted to take the students back to their home towns in UPSRTC buses at no cost. “Those who perpetrated this conduct should be aware that proceedings under the Gangster Act and the National Security Act will be filed against them,” he stated. The CM further added that anyone who are involved in the act will have their possessions taken by the government.
