Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday said in connection with couples having inter-religious marriages that when two adults are living together on their own will, no other person can interfere in their lives.
Hearing a writ petition filed by Shaista Parveen alias Sangeeta and her Muslim husband, Justice Saral Srivastava said, “This court has many times arranged that when two adults are living together, anyone should be given their peaceful there is no right to interfere in life. “
According to this petition, the first petitioner, Shaista Parveen alias Sangeeta, decided to convert to Muslim religion and after conversion she married a Muslim man who is the second petitioner.
Both the petitioners claimed to be adults and alleged that they were threatening their lives. Both have appealed to the court to issue directions not to interfere with their families in their married life.
