Lucknow: The UP government has considered imposing a night curfew in Uttar Pradesh following the directions of the Allahabad High Court. It is reported that the government has left the decision on the district magistrates concerned to impose night curfew. According to this, DMs will be empowered to impose night curfew from 9 am to 5 in the districts of UP where there are more than 500 Kovid cases.
Currently, night curfew can be imposed in 13 districts including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Jhansi and Gautam Budh Nagar in UP.
After Tuesday, the corona virus continued to wreak havoc in the state on Wednesday as well. 6,023 people were found infected in one day, while 40 people have died. So far 8,964 patients have died in the state.
