New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has described agricultural laws as a monster. She said that the new farm laws has been made for the capitalists. This law will benefit big trillionaires. Congress leader Priyanka said that with the introduction of these laws, the capitalists will decide the price of its choice. This will lead to complete hoarding. Targeting PM Narendra Modi, she said that in his 56-inch chest, the heart beats only for capitalists, his heart does not beat for farmers.
She said that these agricultural laws are like demons. This agricultural law is designed for capitalists and will benefit big trillionaires. According to Priyanka, this law will end mandis and by this law you will not get the right price for the produce. As a result, the capitalists will decide the price according to their choice and this will lead to complete hoarding. The result of all this will be that the voice of the farmers will be suppressed and the voice of the capitalists will be elevated.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday promised that his party will repeal the three black central farm laws and ensure MSPs for different crops as soon as it returned to power at the Centre.
Priyanka also urged the farmer not to step back from their ongoing agitation across many states in support of their demands and assured that the Congress would stand with them in “their fight against the black laws”.
“There should be no politics with farmers. Those who do not respect the sentiments of farmers cannot be called patriots,” the Congress leader said.
Earlier, the Saharanpur district administration had imposed Section 144 of the CrPC ahead of the farmers’ meeting.
The District Magistrate issued an order to this effect citing various reasons like upcoming festivities, spread of Covid-19 pandemic and possibility of violence by anti-social elements in the state. The restrictions were imposed till April 5.
Targeting PM Modi, she said that the PM had said before the election that the arrears of sugarcane will be met with 15000 crore interest, but nothing has been found so far. They bought two air planes for themselves which are worth 16000 crores but you did not get the cane dues. She said that the son of the farmer as a young man protects the Prime Minister, but this Prime Minister is insulting the farmers every day. They say daily that it is a terrorist. The Prime Minister called the farmers ‘agitators’. He has made fun of the farmers. He cannot be a patriot who does not understand the farmer.
