New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Center to start preparing for the third wave of coronavirus epidemic by storing medical oxygen. The court said that he can enter the third wave at any time and if we prepare from now, we can be able to handle it. Whatever stocks are purchased will have to be sent to hospitals. It is not about allocating it to the state, but also to see that it should be distributed to hospitals.
Justice Chandrachud said that what is the problem in increasing the supply of oxygen in Delhi? If it is not required, it can be stored. This will help to store an oxygen for the Delhi government. The Supreme Court has made these remarks after the statement of Dr. KV Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Prime Minister.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court had stayed the contempt notice against the Center issued by the Delhi High Court for not complying with its directive to supply 700 metric tonnes of oxygen to Delhi. However, the court made it clear that it was not stopping the High Court from monitoring issues related to Kovid-19 management.
