My dream is to see India and Pakistan becoming ‘good friends’: Malala Yousafzai

New Delhi: Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai said on Sunday that it is her dream to see India and Pakistan becoming “good friends”. She said that the policy of keeping people within limits no longer works and the people of India and Pakistan want to live in peace. She also said that minorities need protection in every country, whether it is Pakistan or India, the issue is not linked to religion, but to the violation of rights and it should be taken seriously.

Yusufzai, a Pakistani activist who advocates for girl child education, was shot in the head by Taliban militants in October 2012, but she survived. Yousafzai said the banning of Internet services and the arrest of activists who “peacefully protest” in India are “worrying”. She hoped that the government would ensure attention to the demands of the people.

She said, “It is my dream to see India and Pakistan becoming good friends, so that we can go to each other’s countries.” You can continue watching Pakistani dramas, we can continue to watch Bollywood movies and enjoy cricket matches. ” She was sharing her thoughts on her book “I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Shot by the Taliban” on the closing day of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF). The festival was organized in a digital way.
