New Delhi: Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy feared that the country’s economic momentum would be at its worst post-independence this financial year due to the corona virus. Regarding this, former Congress President and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi has tweeted and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted NR Narayana Murthy’s statement and said, ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai.’ In fact, Narayanamurthy expressed fear in his statement that this time could see the biggest decline in gross domestic product (GDP) since independence. Narayana Murthy also stressed on developing such a new system in which every businessman in every sector of the country’s economy is allowed to work with full potential.
Murthy said, ‘At least five percent contraction in India’s GDP is being projected. It is feared that we may see the worst GDP growth (contraction) since 1947 independence. Global GDP has gone down. Global trade is sinking, global travel has almost disappeared. As such, global GDP is expected to contract by five to 10 percent.
