New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed an Inter Ministerial (Inter-Ministerial) Committee to examine the three trusts of Gandhi family. This committee will investigate the allegations of economic irregularities on the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. The Special Director of Enforcement Directorate will chair this committee.
The committee will investigate the allegations of violation of rules like Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA), Income Tax Act and Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. This information was given by a tweet from a spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Recently, serious allegations were made by the BJP about the trust associated with the Gandhi family.
Prior to this, questions have been continuously raised on behalf of Congress from the PM Cares Fund. At the same time, the Congress has been accusing the Narendra Modi government of the Center of not giving the right information about the conflict with China.
