New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has said that there has been a huge scam in the Rafale aircraft deal but Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deliberately avoiding getting the entire matter probed by the Joint Parliamentary Committee-JPC due to guilt.
The Congress leader said that Mr. Modi’s friends are getting trapped in this whole scam and he wants to save all his friends, hence does not want JPC probe into the matter.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Why is the Modi government not ready for the JPC probe. Guilt – friends also have to be saved. JPC does not want RS seat. All these options are correct.”

Congress has been alleging scam in the Rafale deal since its inception. The party on Saturday also demanded a JPC probe, saying that there is a judicial inquiry into the scam in France, so the Indian government should also get it probed by a parliamentary committee.
