Maximum rate of corona vaccine fixed for private hospitals

New Delhi: The central government has fixed the maximum rates of corona vaccine for private hospitals. The cost of Covishield will be Rs 780 per dose. The cost of Covaccine will be Rs 1410 per dose. The price of Sputnik-V will be 1145 per dose for private hospitals.

Along with setting the rate of the vaccine, it will be monitored everyday. Strict action will be taken against the private Covid Vaccination Center for charging higher rates. The Center has asked the states not to take private hospitals more than Rs 150 for the service charge. The state governments have to monitor them.

NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul said today that some states had asked last month that the vaccines should be procured by the Centre. He said that orders for 25 crore doses of Covishield and 19 crore doses of Covaccine have been ordered. This advance order has been placed, for which 30 percent payment will be given in advance.

The central government has placed an advance order for a total of 74 crore vaccine doses. Dr VK Paul said that the e-biological vaccine is expected to be available in September, for which an order of 30 crore doses has been placed.
