Man arrested for making hoax bomb call for Taj Mahal

Agra: The situation is now normal in the Taj Mahal, the historical heritage located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Now the entry of tourists has started again. Earlier today (Thursday, March 4), the Taj Mahal was abruptly closed. Police had received information about placing explosives inside the Taj Mahal. After this, the soldiers of CISF and UP police took out the tourists present at the Taj Mahal in a hurry and immediately closed both the doors of the Taj Mahal. An unknown person had called and informed to keep the explosives there. The police has arrested the person who gave false news by phone and the questioning is going on.
Inspector General (IG) Satish Ganesh said that Singh was being interrogated.

The Taj Mahal is conserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and protected by armed personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

The Taj Mahal was reopened for tourists last September with strict coronavirus safety guidelines after being shut for over six months. It had been closed since March 17 last year due to the pandemic.
