Lucknow: Keeping in mind the Coronavirus infection in Uttar Pradesh and the festival of Eid, the Yogi government extended the lockdown for a week from April 30. Additional Chief Secretary of the Information Department Navneet Sehgal told here, “The lockdown implemented in the state will now remain in force till May 17. “During this time, all the shops and establishments except the essential services will be closed.
The government has not made any change in the rules of lockdown. During this, people are barred from needlessly going out. Markets will be closed, weekly markets are banned in cities. There is no restriction on the movement of industrial activities and essential services. Home delivery services are being promoted with the aim of preventing congestion and limiting traffic.
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided on Sunday that the buses of the State Road Transport Corporation will not go beyond the state limits for the next few days. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials concerned to ensure this arrangement. Yogi has instructed that the buses of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation should be operated only within the state for the next few days.

Apart from this, there are some restrictions on flights coming in the state. The CM has ordered the airline to make a negative report of Covid-19 compulsory for the people coming in the state and also to ensure that people going through the state from the airline also go only when the negative report is received.
