Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the lockdown has been extended till May 24. The Yogi government took this decision in a cabinet meeting held on Saturday evening. This lockdown in the state will continue till 7:00 am on 24 May.

Earlier, the government had extended the weekend corona curfew in the state till 17 May. But now the infection is spreading and due to the lockdown, there has been some decline in the corona cases, then the government does not want to be relax, so this decision has been taken. Corona curfew is in force in Uttar Pradesh since April 30. Initially, the government had applied it for three days till 3 May, but after the fast growing cases of Covid it was extended till 6 May and then it was extended till 17 May.

The effect of the implementation of corona curfew and lockdown is also seen in the active cases of the state. Since April 30, there has been a significant reduction in the number of active Covid cases in the state. After corona, black fungus in the state has also started spreading . The government has also become alert about this disease after the patient is exposed in the state. In view of the danger of this disease, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has issued an advisory.
