I ask only that you vote for a govt that works for you: Priyanka Gandhi in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is on a two-day state visit to the assembly elections to be held in Kerala on April 6. Priyanka Gandhi attacked the current Kerala government fiercely. He said that, LDF made promises to you one by one, they promised 20 lakh jobs but did not provide jobs. As soon as he came to power he filled government jobs with his people. When thousands of youth demonstrated throughout Kerala, they were beaten and pressed. Priyanka Gandhi is campaigning in the assembly elections in the South for the first time.

Priyanka Gandhi said that wherever I am going, I am telling people that the real issues should be discussed. Development, employment, education, health care should be discussed. If any political party tries to disturb these things then it is wrong. Priyanka Gandhi told the people that you should seek answers from the parties on the issues. I hope people understand these things.

Earlier, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi offered prayers at the Attukal Devi temple on Tuesday late night. This temple is also known as the Sabarimala of women. Along with Priyanka Gandhi, several other leaders of the party were also present, including Congress candidate K Muralitharan from Neemom seat and Veena S Nair from Vattiyotkavu.

The Congress general secretary offered prayers at the temple after meeting with party leaders in Kattakada assembly constituency. She also took part in a road show in Thiruvananthapuram. It is worth noting that every year on the occasion of Pongal, lakhs of women do a circumambulation of the Attukkal temple and worship for a better harvest.
