Meanwhile, on Thursday, a fog of melancholy fell over the victims’ family home. The father of the murder victims, holding up a photo of his daughter on his phone, claimed the child had told her mother three days earlier that her coach, Pawan, had been harassing her for some time. “My wife attempted to talk to him, but he refused to change his methods,” claimed her father, a CRPF inspector stationed in Kashmir.

His wife, who was critically injured in the incident, informed him that their daughter had gone to train at the ‘Sushil Kumar Kushti academy,’ which is 1.5 kilometres from their home, about 8 a.m. on Thursday before coming home. “At 1 p.m., she was summoned to the academy once more.” Pawan contacted my wife a few minutes later and told her to take our kid home since she was sick. My wife and kid proceeded to the academy, where they were confronted, and he pulled out a revolver and shot them all with the aid of several individuals.”

The mother informed police that when she arrived at the scene, her daughter told her that Pawan had harassed her again and threatened to murder her and her family if she notified anybody. “All of a sudden, Pawan pulled out a gun and opened fire on my daughter with many shots.” She slumped near the gate after receiving bullet wounds. My kid and I took out running in opposite directions. They pursued my son as he ran into the village. She had added, “I watched them fire six rounds at him, and he died on the spot.”
