Kerala Bishop Warns Against Love Jihad

While speaking to worshippers, Kerala church bishop Joseph Kallarangatt said that young Catholic females are primarily falling prey to “love and narcotic jihad” and that these methods are being utilized to kill non-Muslims.

Kallarangatt, speaking at a church festival in Kuruvilangadu, Kottayam district, stated, “They have realized that picking up guns and harming people in a democratic nation like India is difficult; therefore, they have used a variety of techniques to attack non-Muslims. Non-Muslims should be killed, according to jihadists. Love jihad and drug jihad are the two weapons that are being used.”

“Jihadis use women from other religions for converting and misusing them for terrorist activities or making economic gains,” the bishop continued, adding, “Jihadis are those who are trained to lure a girl and brainwash her to disown her parents, their beliefs, and religion through love or other means.”

Those claiming there is no love jihad are pretending ignorance, according to the bishop. The news of Keralites joining the IS came to light when the Kerala government contacted different Central authorities in 2016 to inquire about the authenticity of claims of 19 missing individuals from the state.
