New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has won the Delhi Assembly elections for the third time in a row. In the 70-member assembly, Arvind Kejriwal-led party AAP got 62 seats while BJP got eight seats.
According to the Election Commission till eight o’clock in the night, AAP has won 52 seats, while the BJP has got six seats. At the same time, the Congress is looking empty handed for the second time in a row.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for winning the Delhi Assembly elections. The PM said through a tweet that I wish Arvind Kejriwal all the best to fulfill the hopes of the people of Delhi.
It is known that for the third time in Delhi, the AAP government headed by Arvind Kejriwal has been decided. At the same time, after the victory, Kejriwal went to see Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place. Kejriwal was also accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Earlier, Kejriwal said at the party office, “Today a new politics has been born. This is politics of work. Delhiites gave the message that the vote will be given to the one who will pay attention to the basic issues. This is a new type of politics. And, it is not my victory but the victory of the people.
