Kasganj: An accused who killed a soldier by attacking a police team in Sidhpur area of Kasganj district in Uttar Pradesh was killed in an encounter this morning.
According to the police spokesperson, the encounter took place on the banks of the Kali river at around 5 am in Sidhpura area in which Alkar Dhimar, brother of the main accused Moti Dhivar was killed. The police is searching for the absconding main accused Moti Dhiwar.
He said that a pistol and some cartridges have been recovered from the capture of the slaughtered crook Elkar. Five cases have been registered including murder while 12 cases have been registered against the main accused Nagla Dhimar. Many police teams are looking for it.
Significantly, yesterday evening, Sub-Inspector Ashok Pal went out on regular patrol with constable Devendra. From there he went to Nagla Dhimar village where illegal liquor making cases have also come up in the past. Police were attacked by liquor mafia late in the evening. Constable Devendra Kumar died in the incident while Sub-Inspector Ashok Pal was injured. He is undergoing treatment at Aligarh Medical. The liquor mafia also took away the government revolvers of the injured sub-inspector.
Police of Sidhpura and the adjoining districts were sent to the spot to apprehend the mafia on the information of the incident. 12 police teams have been deployed to arrest the accused.
Taking the incident seriously, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while directing the imposition of NSA on the accused, has announced financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the families of the constable Devendra Kumar and a government job to a family member.
