Today, the Karnataka government held a virtual news conference in Bengaluru to announce the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Karnataka would be the first state to implement NEP 2020. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education, initiates several programs as part of the NEP implementation.
The state administration has agreed to adopt the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, according to Minister of Higher Education Dr. CN Ashwatha Narayana. It will be executed through a well-thought-out approach in which institutions would reach out to each college. The implementation of NEP 2020 will involve several ground-breaking measures such as the rewriting of the whole course structure and curriculum at institutions and the offering of numerous programs to students.

During the virtual launch of NEP, it was also revealed that Karnataka would be releasing a research and development policy shortly, intending to increase research and improving research quality in the state. “Karnataka has set an example for other states by being the first state to adopt the National Education Policy (NEP),” Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said at the virtual event.
Dr. CN Ashwatha Narayana, addressing the NEP 2020 virtual programme organised by a social media cell from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said that “The implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in the State is a matter of effort to clear doubts and confusions between stakeholders and individuals in various sectors of the society.
