Bengaluru: Explosion in a truck carrying explosives exploded on Thursday night in Shivamogga district of Karnataka. According to information received till morning, six people died in this incident. But now, according to a Times Now report, about 15 people have died here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the explosion and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

The blast occurred at around 10:30 pm at a stone breaking site, causing tremors not only in Shivamoga but also in the nearby Chikkamagaluru and Davanagere districts. Witnesses say that the explosion was so strong that the window panes of the houses were broken and cracks also occurred on the roads.
The explosion felt as if an earthquake had occurred and geologists were contacted. A police officer said, “There was no earthquake. But there was an explosion in Hansur under the rural police station on the outskirts of Shivamoga. ”
Another police officer said, “A truck carrying gelatin exploded.” Six workers in the truck were killed. The vibration was felt locally. ” He said the death toll could increase.
