New Delhi: Most-wanted notorious ganster Vikas Dubey, was spotted at a Faridabad hotel on Tuesday night. Before the police could close in on him and his aides, Vikas Dubey escaped. Meanwhile, his right-hand man Amar Dubey was killed in an encounter in Hamirpur.
Vikas Dubey was visiting a relative’s place in Faridabad Sector 87 and had planned to stay at a hotel. He was spotted at the hotel and CCTV footage shows him visiting the hotel in the evening. However, even before the police could get to him, Vikas Dubey managed to flee the hotel. Meanwhile, police have arrested four of his accomplices, including another aide Shyamu Bajpai.
Six days after the killing of eight policemen in Bikeru village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district, an aide of crime’s main accused Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter with the Special Task Force (STF) of the police in Hamirpur district on Wednesday morning.
STF Inspector General Amitabh Yash has said that Vikas Dubey’s partner Amar Dubey was killed in an encounter at Maudha in Hamirpur. He said that a reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on Dubey and he was involved in the killing of eight policemen by ambush by miscreants in Bikeru village of Chaubepur police station area last week.
One SHO and STF constable were injured in the exchange of fire during the encounter that killed Amar Dubey. An automatic weapon and a bag was recovered from Amar Dubey’s possession.
Vikas Dubey’s colleague Shyam Bajpai has been arrested after an encounter with police in Chaubepur area. He has a bullet in his leg. A reward of Rs 25,000 is declared on his head. Bajpai was wanted in the case of killing eight policemen in an attack on a police team that went to Bikaru village to arrest gangster Vikas Dubey on the middle of July 2-3. This is the second major success that the police got in this case.
