Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Police has another major success in the Kanpur shootout case. Jayakant Vajpayee, a close associate of gangster Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the Bikeru scandal, has been arrested by the police. Also his partner Prashant Shukla has been arrested. An FIR has also been filed against these two in several sections of the IPC.
It is alleged that Jayakant Vajpayee alias Jai Vajpayee was the only one keeping track of Vikas Dubey’s money. In such a situation, Jai’s arrest can open many secrets of Vikas Dubey’s black earnings.
Jayakant Vajpayee has been arrested by the Kanpur police. According to the Kanpur police, Vajpayee and Prashant Shukla were also involved in the murder of 8 policemen in the Bikeru incident. Both had helped Vikas Dubey then. It is being told that on 1 July, Vikas Dubey called Jai Vajpayee and Pir reached Jai and Prashant Bikaru village on 2 July.
According to Kanpur police, on July 2, Jai Vajpayee gave Rs 2 lakh and cartridges to Vikas Dubey. Also, after the incident, three luxury vehicles were also arranged to take Vikas Dubey and his gang to a safe place.
