Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has set up a commission of inquiry in the case of the encounter of notorious criminal Vikas Dubey and his associates. The commission will be headed by a retired judge. Vikas was constantly escaping from the police before being caught in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. On July 9, he was nabbed from the Mahakal temple and shot dead the next morning near Kanpur by Uttar Pradesh police. Police claim that the vehicle carrying Vikas suddenly overturned, after which Vikas tried to run away and was killed again.
Apart from Vikas Dubey, Uttar Pradesh Police and STF had killed his colleagues Prem Prakash Pandey, Atul Dubey, Prabhat, Amar Dubey and Babban in the encounter.
