New Delhi: India has successfully tested the land attack version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile on Tuesday. The test was carried out in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands region. According to the news, the test fire conducted at 10 am today successfully hit their target on another island.
This test consists of several regiments of missile systems developed by DRDO. The strike range of BrahMos missile has now been increased to more than 400 km. BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is the world’s fastest operational system in its category. And recently, DRDO has increased the number of missile systems from the current 298 km to around 450 km.
In the last two months DRDO has been successful in testing both new and existing missile systems. These include the Shaurya missile system, which can hit targets that are more than 800 kilometers away. The report said that the Indian Navy also did a test firing of the BrahMos missile from INS Chennai, showing its ability to hit targets in a range of more than 400 kilometers in deep seas.
