India bowled out for 242, Jamieson stars for NZ

Christchurch: India lost the toss in the second Test against New Zealand starting at the Hague Oval ground in Christchurch on Saturday and were bowled out to 242 runs in their first innings. For India, Prithvi Shaw, Pujara and Hanuma Vihari scored half-centuries, for New Zealand, Kyle Jamieson took 5 wickets.

India had a poor start and Mayank Agarwal was dismissed for 7 runs, but Prithvi Shaw hit his maiden Test half-century overseas, scoring 54 off 64 balls with the help of 8 fours and a six.

Virat Kohli (3) and Rahane (7) were also dismissed cheaply after the tee. But after this, Pujara and Hanuma Vihari took over the Indian innings, adding 81 runs for the fifth wicket, hitting a half-century, but Vihari was dismissed just before tea.
