New Delhi: To prevent the rising infection of Corona virus, the Himachal Pradesh government has extended the lockdown in the state by five weeks. Jai Ram Thakur-led BJP government issued the order saying that the lockdown will continue till June 30 in all the 12 districts of the state.
According to the Himachal Pradesh Health Department, so far 209 people have been hit by the corona virus in the state, out of which 4 people have died. However, 59 people have recovered in the state and there are 142 active cases of corona.
Explain that the lockdown is in place across the country till May 31 to prevent infection of the corona virus, which has been extended three times. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown across the country on March 24, and then on April 14, he announced an extension to May 3. After this the Union Home Ministry extended it till 17 May and then the fourth phase of lockdown was implemented by the Central Government till 31 May.
