New Delhi: The construction work of the ongoing Central Vista Project in Delhi will continue. The Delhi High Court has refused to put a halt to this project, as well as imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the person who filed the petition.
The court also questioned the intention of the petitioner and said that efforts are being made to stop the project by forcibly applying the petition. In fact, after the lockdown imposed in Delhi, the petitioner had filed a petition saying that construction activities are completely banned in Delhi, so why the work of this project was not stopped. It was said in the petition that above 500 workers are working there, there is a danger of spreading corona infection there.
But today when the High Court gave this decision, the Delhi government has already lifted the ban on construction activity. The court said that people are interested in this project, and there is a contract to complete work on it in November. The court said that this is an important public project and it cannot be seen separately. This is a project of national importance. The court said that the legitimacy of this project has been proved and the government has to complete this work by November 2021.
